Ah, their donation to Good David foundation is coming along nicely.

Wait a minute, are those HOPS in the cauldron? Looks like it.

I’ve also seen recipes for ales made with grain and root vegetables like carrots. Not planning to brew any of them, except a second batch of true (hard) ginger ale. Looks like it’s time for some Gruit Inquisitor Winter Ale. What better way to serve their fellow Churchians, than in a tankard?

There may be some hops, but the cauldron appears to be mostly full of random (yet well drawn) leaves and bones.

Hops are the flowers of the plant, and look a bit like a pine cone.

Some of the leaves and sepals looked like hops. Dang, a tavern that brewed its own would be great.

The cauldron of leaves and bones is kind of disturbing, as if they’re being supplied by Sweeney Tuber and Mrs. Lovage. (Sweeney Todd is the rare Sondheim musical with a working second act).

Camouflage works! While everyone has focused on “What’s in the cauldron”, nobody noticed what we hid in the last frame. That’s good, the Inquisitor missed it too!

I had wondered where he had wandered off to.
