You are allowed to notice that about the Sons and Daughters of Abraham and Sarah. What is damnably verboten among the Churchians, is to include the people of Israel in the “all nations” and assert that we must preach the Gospel message of rebellion, damnation, redemption and the New Covenant to them.
To be fair, Churchians get itchy about the Great Commission in general.
Very finely wrought point of discomfort, to specify “Anglican”. In the U.S., this is the dissident movement seeking to reclaim their souls.
Churchians sound like Unitarians, complete to the belief in “Everything!” (meaning, of course, nothing. Simple integral: S (- inf —> + inf) f(u)du = 0)
I remember when a fried tried to describe what Unitarians believed. As I listened, I came to the conclusion that they wouldn’t have a Last Supper, for them it would be a Last Buffet.
We went three rounds on this one. Up until five minutes before it was uploaded, it was at “Episcopal”
What swopped it back over to Anglican was the fact that “Anglican” comes from the Church of England, the character of the Archbishop of said mother church, and … It scans better.
But I’d forgotten about the African Anglican congregations (dioceses?) who split over the traditions of the Church, and teamed up with the ones in America to get back to truth and virtue, and away from modern fads. We might have to change it back (with an asterix pointing to the comments). I’ll talk to Quizzer.
As for the Unitarians? They only wish they could upgrade to Churchian, poor souls. 😋
Churchi is simply populated with a wide variety of “Sister Bertha Much Better Than You” (see “The day the Squirrel went Berzerk” by Ray Stevens.) They crop up everywhere and can be… interesting… when they band together.
“Anglican Rite” is also the American dissident wing of the Episcopal church, the ones who are fighting to remain a faith without convergence. They have aliies in the more conservative branches of the Communion. All of them are united against the Church of the Correct Fork and Brother You Must Wave the Rainbow Flag.
lol You guys are so mean! lol

Sadly, I worked overtime to narrow down the list.

The most unforgivable Churchian sin is to point out that Jews aren’t Christian.

I believe the Unitarians fall in the group of people who have opened their minds so much that their brains fell out.

It’ll remain Anglican, but the whole ‘churchian’ phenomena needs further discussion. I’ll start commentary this week.
