All he time I (re)started the wood stove in the 1970’s & 1980’s… in one place, that WAS the semi-central heat. “Semi?” you ask… wood stove/furnace in basement. Blower & ducting to first floor. Nothing but convection for the second floor… where the bedrooms were.
