By all means, submit your own poem! If it fits the meter (metre?) of The Grinch, so much the better.

Was that “VAERS” supposed to be “vaxers”?

No, it’s the database that you can report vaccine adverse effects – vaers.hhs.gov – I think.

I’m in favor of vaccines but I do prefer that they be properly tested and vetted, rather than letting the general population function as lab-rats and hoping for the best.

Things do go wrong even when a vaccine has leaped through all the hoops: look up rota-virus vaccines!

I’m not against vaccines either, but I’m against gene therapy medical experiments on unwitting humans when all the animals died when they were tested. Huh. Writing that out I surprised myself. I’m, generally speaking, against people.

        10/10 this.

        The Sun did not shine.
it was too COVID to play.
so we sat in the house
        all that Corona-filled scary day.

I sat there with The Mrs.
        We sat there, we two.
And i said, ‘how i wish
        We had something to do!’

        Too COVID to go out
and not allowed to play ball.
so we sat in the house.
        we did nothing at all.

So all we could do was to
        sit!
        sit!
        sit!
        sit!
and we did not like it.
        not one little bit.

        And then!

        Something went BUMP!
How that bump made us jump!
        We looked!
Then we saw him step in on the mat!
        We looked!
        And we saw him!
The Biden in the, you know, the thing.
        And he said to us,
‘Why do you sit there like that?’
        ‘I know it is wet
And the Sun is not sunny.
        But we can print
Lots of and lots of money!’

Okay, I’ll stop now. Unless you want to illustrate.

It’s like Theodor Geisel arose, looked about, wrote that down, and then returned to the grave. Official Cause of 2nd Death: Covid.

Kinda like how, in the late 90’s and early 2000’s I figured “Weird Al” had lost his touch… but it was just that the material he to work with so miserably rotten that not even he could save it even with savage mockery.
