We suffered a severe art emergency that carried over through the weekend. Everyone is okay. The drawing devices are fine. Today’s comic will be published later tonight, or possibly tomorrow morning at our usual time (5:00am Pacific).
For those wondering, an art emergency occurs when an opportunity comes along that you’d like to take advantage of, but it involves extra work that has to be done right now. We’ll provide more information at a later time, as we are still working through said emergency.

Tempest in a Teardrop: The Churchians 
The question is, is this Art Emergency related to “Fun” or “Profit?” Profit pays the bills, and fun can have esoteric payoffs over time, especially if it results in new collaborations.
