We argued about the ‘C’ word for quite some time. ‘Communalists’ doesn’t fit either (we debated it). We’ll see, in the end, what they are. It’s gonna take a while…

This sounds like Apple’s ‘walled garden’ type of group, but the right word won’t come to mind. Congregationalist, Quaker, and Shaker also don’t fit.
