They can also climb a four-foot-high chain-link fence!
That is one of the weirder things you will ever see, especially because the (*^&*%$& critters can also tunnel underneath said fence.
Our late, lamented Muffy enjoyed killing groundhogs. Really sank her teeth into them. She must have gotten six or seven of them over the years.
I once startled a full-size rabbit with the lawn mower and watched the thing leap *through* one of the normal gaps in our chain-link fence. Not under. Not over. Through.
I’d never have believed it if I hadn’t seen it for myself.
