“Duck and Cover” is a rather good default, really. Imperfect, but a helluva lot better than nothing for nukes, tornadoes, not-tornadic high winds, and likely a good many other things,.

But *terrible* for both bear *and* gopher attacks, whether you’re a vegetable or not. Also… I’m west-coast. My only experience with a tornado is the movie ‘Twister’ and I don’t see how ‘Duck and Cover’ would have done any good in any situation in that movie outside of a root cellar.

But, as a Minotaur, I can understand your doubt; let me phrase this in a way you might relate to. The Minotaur in the Labyrinth tried ‘Duck and Cover’, and it was a close fight because Theseus was laughing so hard. Alas, in the end, Theseus prevailed and Wikipedia now celebrates his victory.

Personally, I believe the victors write the history and Wikipedia has misgendered Theseus. Not that my beliefs count for anything…

That does depend upon the bear. Might work some for Grizzly. Not so much for black bear. And wikipedia is… unreliable.

I wonder if that gopher is a writer – if so, he could be Edgar Rice Burrows?

Love the negligee on the carrot. So classy and also indicative of her panic. She forgot to put on the matching dressy, equally sheer robe!

That was 100% Codex. I was cracking up when I saw it.
