I’m very, very disappointed with you, America. We at Tempest in a Teardrop are struggling to be counter-cultural and revolutionary, and it turns out we’re just part of the mainstream. I ran across two disturbing articles providing evidence for this.
The first comes from that bastion of facts, vox.com, so you know it has to be accurate: Only 18 percent of Americans consider themselves feminists. The gals at The Mary Sue are on suicide watch. Or they will be once they learn about this. Continue reading

I was roused from my nap writing meditation time when the entire house shook. My first thought was that Codex had finally hit the support while pulling into the garage. This would not be considered A Good Thing, so I popped on my shoes and went to investigate. No car. No garage damage. Horrible, obnoxious honking sounds from around the corner.
A very large bird had, apparently, flown into the chimney, bounced off, and was now demanding the house move aside at once. I know chickens, I know geese, and I know turkeys, but this bird was none of these. Dang, I thought to myself, the next plague is upon us. Continue reading

An Abject Apology by Sarah the Mouse
This is embarrassing. I don’t have dialog for weeks, but who do they trot out to apologize to our readers? Moi, “the diplomatic one,” as Q said. I applied at Disney before coming here, but they already have a mouse character. Plenty, as it turns out.
We learned we need better mobile computing solutions. Our tablet device is good for “consuming” web material, and not great for producing it. Combine it with a spotty internet connection and you don’t produce the posts you wanted to. I still hope I was able to add something to the Puppy community who were not in attendance: Based on our traffic stats I think we did. Continue reading
