A Robot-American Vice President? Killer.

After carefully observing the shenanigans in the political realm for the last week or so, the list of things I believe in has rapidly dwindled down to three:

  1. God
  2. Michael Medved’s childlike faith in the Republican party
  3. A killer robot will be our Vice President

Odd? Hardly. Medved waxes on poetically about how great the Republican party is: it’s always doing the right thing, always has our best interests in mind, and understanding the tactics, players, or cash trails of the geniuses running the cabal is completely beyond the realm of normal, peasantish, humans. Like you and I.

Childlike faith. Quite refreshing, actually.

Oh, you meant the killer robot VP thing? Continue reading →

Yes, Twitter Matters

Twitter: Occupied Territory
Twitter is now fully committed to silencing anyone using its service to voice “problematic” opinions. The details are everywhere; no reason to cover them here. Your local college will need to update the syllabus for their Dictators 101 class; Twitter’s censorship techniques are must-study material for any wanna-be Authoritarian.

In every single article I’ve read, a commentator (or dozen) points out how they never used it, never understood it, what a waste of time it was, and how arguing in 140 characters or less was for imbeciles. That last one is my personal favorite. So, where’s the harm? Let it die an ignoble death. Stick a fork in it and roast a marshmallow over the corpse as it burns.

There are a long line of people in history who share your opinion, silly commentators. Continue reading →

The Talos Principle

What can I say? I’m a sucker for interesting computer games Steam sells at steep discount prices. The Talos Principle, at 75% off last week, fit the description perfectly. Thanks, Ilk of Various Classifications, for the recommendation!

At face value, it is a puzzle-solving maze game with much akin to Portal and Portal 2. Glyph and I enjoyed those immensely, so after twenty minutes of Talos game play Steam got my money a second time and Glyph got a surprise Valentine present. Three-day weekends were made for obsessions like this, and we didn’t squander President’s Day doing silly things like writing, eating, or sleeping. Continue reading →

Evilution of Feminism

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and it’s time to start planning your special evening now, gentlemen. I have three general pieces of advice:

  1. Compliment your Valentine.
  2. Be chivalrous; open doors, lend her your arm.
  3. If she tries to rip out your jugular with her teeth, don’t hesitate to stake her. You did remember to bring a stake, right?

That’s odd, I can hear you asking, that third-point should be completely unnecessary. And, Why am I reading dating advice from a spork? Continue reading →
