To all the Odds and the dissidents, the NBCs, bears, and Ilk, and to all our mostly normal (mostly…) cater-cousins who view us with loving amusement, I give you, O wise: Easter filk!

Your tune is the hottest number from our favorite 18th century hepcat, The Symphony Number 9 in D minor, Opus 125. The lyrics are from 1865 and 1984 filk-singers respectively.

But, things have continued apace. Much to my amazement, the landscaping is down to “manageable” in what we have left to do. The heavy lifting (20 yards of bark-dust) is up to the landscapers. It’s just money at this point. Our realtor will love it. We hope. We’re on acreage so we have to make about 2 (of seven) look like civilized people could live here. Continue reading →

No comic today – my fault. We have to get the entire library packed up and the bookshelves removed by Sunday. I hate leaving your Friday morning empty with nothing, so I shopped special this week.
